Your tooth hasn’t erupted? An implant is the perfect solution.

At Barjaktarević Dental Clinic, we encountered another interesting case. A 28-year-old patient was missing their upper right lateral incisor (tooth #2). The tooth had never erupted, and there was no bud in the bone. This is a permanent condition.

The patient sought a solution to their esthetic and functional problem. Several clinics recommended significant adjustments to the surrounding teeth – shaving down the central incisor and canine. They planned to install a bridge from the first molar to the central incisor to replace the missing lateral incisor. Fortunately, the patient refused these solutions.

In our clinic, we approached the problem differently. We planned a treatment that involved orthodontic tooth movement to create space between the canine and central incisor, avoiding interventions on healthy teeth. This approach allowed for the insertion of an implant as a permanent solution without affecting the neighboring teeth.
